REVIEW: "Thank You Susan! Our team thoroughly enjoyed your Las Vegas scavenger hunt! We had a blast! Your hunt was very creative and well-done." -Tracy Collins, Maitland, FL
You'll need about two hours minimum for this hunt up to 10 people. Each team will receive a collection bag with various supplies. They will then embark on the scavenger hunt, taking pictures at various locations and casinos, obtaining specific items and completing a Vegas-themed project. All the challenges are worth valuable points and there are some bonus point challenges as well. At the conclusion of the hunt, the teams will prepare an optional final presentation while you “grade” their challenge sheets to find the winners based on point total (award certificates are included with this hunt). THE WINNING TEAM will have had the most fun as a team while collecting the most points.. Your group will be divided into teams of
For the TEAM BUILDING VERSION of this scavenger hunt, there will be an added mid-hunt meet where additional challenges (included) will be given out and team members my move to other teams or team roles will change. At the conclusion of the hunt, after the teams present a creative and inspiring final presentation, we recommend you have a debriefing session using the team assessment form included with your kit. TEAM OBJECTIVE: Form an efficient, effective and enthusiastic team that communicates well, works by consensus and has a definite plan of action to complete this adventure hunt. The team that does this the best will be your outstanding team of the day. (While points matter, outstanding team work matters more for this version of the game.)
EXAMPLES: Scavenger hunt is broken down into these categories: 18 picture challenges (they'll make for GREAT memories of your Vegas experience!), a Las Vegas trivia quiz (8 questions), a fun Vegas-themed project, item collection (20 in total but number varies depending if you include the Las Vegas strip AND Fremont Street), and a final team presentation. We give you lots of different types of challenges to complete to keep it interesting, engaging and fun, fun, fun!
- Take a picture the team member most likely to lose at gambling looking destitute as he or she poses in front of a sign that includes the words “Fabulous Las Vegas Nevada”.
- Collect a brochure or advertisement from the chapel where Mickey Rooney got married…8 times.
- What is third base in a casino?
NUMBER OF TEAMS or PARTICIPANTS: Unlimited number of teams with a minimum of three to a maximum of 10 people per team. We do recommend one facilitator/helper for every two to three teams to keep things running smoothly, especially when you grade team efforts and tally up completed challenges.
What if you only have a few people participating in scavenger hunt? Instead of dividing them into teams, you can keep them all on one team and have them race against the clock, giving the single team a time limit to complete each section of the hunt (photos, find items, etc.), report back to you for the next section and so on until the hunt is complete.
LENGTH OF THE HUNT: Two to four hours, depending on the size of your group*: Five minutes for opening instructions; a minimum of 1 1/2 hours for the scavenger hunt and about 30 minutes or more for the grading, (optional) team presentations and awards presentation. *The more teams you have, the more time it will take. Also if you're including the optional Fremont Street challenges, you'll need to add in time.
For the team building versions of the hunts, allow two to four+ hours, depending on the size of your group: 15-20 minutes for opening instructions, warm up game and team organization; 1 1/2 - two hours for the hunt and about 30 minutes (or more) for grading, team presentations, awards and optional but recommended team assessment discussion.
PRE-HUNT PREP TIME:For up to six teams, you can put our scavenger hunts together in about four to six hours (includes shopping for supplies, reading the scavenger hunt and prepping the materials); as you add teams, you'll need to add time to the pre-hunt prep. You mostly need to print (and perhaps edit) the documents included with the kit, pack the collection bags and you'll need to get team prizes and other inexpensive supplies like clipboards and pens. Our facilitator guide provides a supply checklist for you. *You will need these software programs.
REVIEW: "Our 2nd scavenger hunt of yours - the Las Vegas hunt - went fabulous. Our team had a great (and crazy and exhausting) time. The pictures are the best part of course. All in all, a GREAT experience, totally worth the money!!" - Crista Johnson, Negociants USA, Napa CA
