How It Works

This is a walking/driving hunt designed for the Las Vegas strip and Fremont Street (optional add-on to the hunt).

You’ll need about two hours minimum (unless you remove some challenges). Your group will be divided into teams of up to 10 people. Each team will receive a collection bag with various supplies.

They will then embark on the scavenger hunt, taking pictures at various locations and casinos, obtaining specific items and completing a Vegas-themed project. All the challenges are worth valuable points and there are some bonus point challenges as well. At the conclusion of the hunt, the teams will prepare an optional final presentation while you “grade” their challenge sheets to find the winners based on point total (award certificates are included with this hunt). THE WINNING TEAM will have had the most fun as a team while collecting the most points.

For the TEAM BUILDING VERSION of this scavenger hunt:

  • There will be an added mid-hunt meet where additional challenges (included) will be given out and team members may move to other teams or team roles will change. At the conclusion of the hunt, after the teams present a creative and inspiring final presentation, we recommend you have a debriefing session using the team assessment form included with your kit.
  • TEAM OBJECTIVE: Form an efficient, effective and enthusiastic team that communicates well, works by consensus and has a definite plan of action to complete this adventure hunt. The team that does this the best will be your outstanding team of the day. (While points matter, outstanding team work matters more for this version of the game.)

examples

Scavenger hunt is broken down into these categories: 18 picture challenges (they’ll make for GREAT memories of your Vegas experience!), a Las Vegas trivia quiz (8 questions), a fun Vegas-themed project, item collection (20 in total but number varies depending if you include the Las Vegas strip AND Fremont Street), and a final team presentation. We give you lots of different types of challenges to complete to keep it interesting, engaging and fun, fun, fun!

  • Take a picture the team member most likely to lose at gambling looking destitute as he or she poses in front of a sign that includes the words “Fabulous Las Vegas Nevada”.
  • Collect a brochure or advertisement from the chapel where Mickey Rooney got married…8 times.
  • What is third base in a casino?

FULLY CUSTOMIZABLE!  Our games are formatted in Microsoft Word which means you can EASILY edit them to personalize them if you so choose (they’re also ready to go as is).

NUMBER OF TEAMS or PARTICIPANTS

Unlimited number of teams with a minimum of three to a maximum of 10 people per team. You can do this hunt with one team racing against the clock to as many teams as you can handle. We do recommend one facilitator/helper for every two to three teams to keep things running smoothly, especially when you grade team efforts and tally up completed challenges.

age range

Age 14* to adult.

*If you’re considering this hunt for a group with kids, please note that you will be going into some of the casino hotels to collect items or take pictures. None of the challenges require your teams to go onto the casino floors where the gaming tables are. If you have any questions about this hunt being suitable for your children, please contact us.

length of hunt

Two to four hours, depending on the size of your group*: Five minutes for opening instructions; a minimum of 1 1/2 hours for the scavenger hunt and about 30 minutes or more for the grading, (optional) team presentations and awards presentation.

*The more teams you have, the more time it will take. Also if you’re including the optional Fremont Street challenges, you’ll need to add in time.

For the team building versions of the hunts, allow two to four hours, depending on the size of your group: 15-20 minutes for opening instructions, warm up game and team organization; 1 1/2 – two hours for the hunt and about 30 minutes (or more) for grading, team presentations, awards and optional but recommended team assessment discussion.

pre-hunt prep time

For up to six teams, you can put our scavenger hunts together in about four to six hours (includes shopping for supplies, reading the scavenger hunt and prepping the materials); as you add teams, you’ll need to add time to the pre-hunt prep. You mostly need to print (and perhaps edit) the documents included with the kit, pack the collection bags and you’ll need to get team prizes and other inexpensive supplies like clipboards and pens. Our facilitator guide provides a supply checklist for you.
